Your Help is Needed!

Jim Fraser is looking for help from the Master Instructor graduates and members of our Association.

One of the things Master Instructors could do for the overall IDI process (POST’s Instructional Development Institute) is to solicit training needs that are not currently being met. These needs would form the basis for potential projects that would be placed on a list that future MICC (Master Instructor Certification Course) students could consider for their 24-hour course. This is an area where there have been problems in the past. It is always helpful to have some project ideas available that could be reviewed by potential students. If they had a working list of potential projects with some general details and the names of MIDP grads or others who could provide more detail on the parameters of the project it would serve an immediate need.

If you have ideas on unmet training needs, please contact Jim Fraser at jhfras@gmail.com.

If this works, the idea would then be to also have a process where the individual candidates could shop a concept with the Master Instructor population to see who might be willing to help a candidate firm up their projects and serve as subject matter resources.
