The Association elections were held at the recently concluded Instructor Symposium in San Mateo and the new Board of Directors is in place. I’d like to take a few moments to update you on what is going on with your Association.

I’d like to thank everyone for their participation in the election process. Establishing this Association has been a true labor of love by many people and we will only be as successful as our members make us. Joining the Association and participating in committees and elections are crucial components of moving this whole thing forward. I’d like to convey my thanks and appreciation to the Nominations Committee and Election Committee members for their hard work. I will acknowledge them here by name as soon as I make sure I’m not leaving anyone’s name out.

The results of the election are as follows:

• President: Lee Steitz
• Vice-President: Arlene Gaylord
• Treasurer: Mark Keeney
• Secretary: Vacant (no nominees)

I will be actively seeking to fill the Secretary position as soon as possible as this is an important role for the Board.

My plan is to keep moving forward along the path already established by Immediate Past President (and my MIDP 10 classmate) Cokie Lepinski and the Association’s charter President (and my MIDP 10 classmate) Vicki Dellone. Needless to say, we all owe a great big “Thank You” to Vicki and Cokie for their outstanding leadership in getting this Association to where we are today.
